“Great spot! A little bit of road noise.”
“We reserved site 2 for our stay which was advertised to accept 40' rigs. Our less than 40' rig could not fit in. Luckily there was a nice open campsite available to which we relocated without any problem. Except for the road noise during the day it is a beautiful campsground.”

Red Bridge Campground sits just off the Mountain Loop Highway on the pebble-strewn bank of the South Fork Stillaguamish River, a compact site that feels more like a riverside stopping point than a sprawling park. There are 13 single-family sites total, each configured to accommodate both tents and RVs; sites include a picnic table and a campfire ring, and vault toilets are available nearby. There are no electrical hookups and no potable water on site, so plan to bring all the water you'll need and expect a self-contained style of camping. The river frontage makes fishing and paddling the obvious draws from camp anglers can try for migrating salmon and trout species in the South Fork while hikers can access longer routes from points along the Mountain Loop corridor. For campground-specific questions call (360) 386-8214. The campground is a convenient base for exploring the broader Mt. Baker Snoqualmie National Forest, which offers roughly 1,500 miles of trails and a wide range of activities from auto touring and biking to horseback riding, winter sports and historic fire-lookout stays. A nearby highlight is the Mt. Dickerman Trail: a steep 3.0-mile climb of switchbacks through dense timber to a replanted alpine meadow (restored after a 1915 fire) and onward above treeline to a 5,723-foot summit; wildflowers peak in July and August and the summit rewards hikers with broad views on clear days. Mt. Baker itself looms across the landscape its summit at 10,781 feet is often snow-capped, and Grant Peak hides a massive ice mound over the volcanic crater while the river corridor supports Chinook, Coho, chum, pink and sockeye salmon as well as steelhead, sea-run cutthroat and bull trout. For history and scenery, you can visit nearby Forest Service lookouts or the Civilian Conservation Corps built Verlot Public Service Center, and the North Cascades and Mount Rainier national parks are within regional reach. Note that once your reservation start date has begun, neither Recreation.gov nor the campground manager can modify your reservation, so plan arrivals and changes accordingly.
