“This campground is OK they’re definitely better ones but we will see if we come back”
“Campsite isn't being properly maintained. When we arrived the garbage cans were overflowing, the toilet shed wasn't clean and the toilet paper dispensers were empty. We stayed for 4 days and the maintenance crew never came by. Thankfully we brought our own TP.”

Wiley Creek Group Camp sits on the north side of Mountain Loop Road in the Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest, surrounded by old-growth Douglas fir and shaded trails that make it a favorite for youth groups and organized outings. The site is roughly five miles east of the Verlot Public Service Center and about 14 miles east of Granite Falls along the Highway 7 scenic byway, so it's reachable from the Seattle area via Everett and the Highway 2/9 corridor. The Stillaguamish River runs nearby and offers a gentle, angler-friendly stretch where chinook, coho, chum, pink and sockeye salmon mingle with steelhead, sea-run cutthroat and bull trout; summer and early fall are best for fishing, hiking, picnicking and horseback riding, while winter opens up cross-country skiing and snowshoeing in the surrounding forest. A short, accessible interpretive option the Gold Basin Mill Pond Trail, directly across from Gold Basin Campground combines mill relics with a floating viewpoint over the pond, and on clear days you can pick out Mount Baker high to the east; the broader forest also supports a variety of wildlife and backcountry opportunities, including sections of long-distance trails such as the Pacific Crest Trail within the region. The campground consists of exactly two group campsites, each configured for both RVs and tents and able to hold up to 20 people, with Adirondack shelters, picnic tables and rock barbecue pits provided; vault toilets are on site but there is no drinking water, so bring all you need. Group A includes two Adirondack shelters one with bunk beds for eight and a second that sleeps 12 on an attic floor, with roughly 250 square feet available on each floor while Group B features a two-level shelter offering about 400 square feet on each level. Because these are managed group sites, reservations are recommended and should be made in advance; note that once your reservation start date has begun neither Recreation.gov nor the campground manager can modify the booking. For facility-specific questions call the Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie office at (360) 386-8214.
