Brad K ★ 2 · Aug 2025This is a great campground with potable water and several easily accessible lakes nearby. However, we rented one of the glamping tents and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Our tent was roomy but nothing special and the beds sat at an a slight slope which was a bit uncomfortable. In the end, it was much more expensive than a regular campsite and really not worth the extra charge. Bring your own tent - or given the prices charged for a glamping tent - you'd be better off to just buy a cheap one at a sports store and save your money if you don't have one.
ALBERT D ★ 5 · Aug 2025Quiet area, beautiful lake. No AT&T reception. Only downside is that generators are allowed until 10pm. Many campgrounds have earlier hours for generators compared to quiet hours in general. Luckily, there were no generators in immediately adjacent sites until the last day, but that could significantly impact the peace and quiet of the area if one isn't so lucky.
Stefanie S ★ 4 · Jul 2025This campground was great, the only thing I 'hated' was the lack of shade in our site - BUT that's not their issue. The hosts were fantastic and let us borrow there percolator after we had forgtten ours. Kelly and Duncan were great. Quiet spot close to the lake, zero cell service which was a plus.

Sitting at about 9,900 feet along the Mirror Lake Scenic Byway, Lost Creek Campground occupies a shaded stand of Engelmann spruce and lodgepole pine on the shores of Lost Lake. The campground has 34 sites in total: 31 standard campsites (22 that accommodate both RVs and tents and 9 that are RV-only) and 3 glamping sites; all standard sites and glamping units list a capacity of up to eight people. Roads and parking spurs are paved, and every campsite includes a picnic table and a campfire ring. Basic infrastructure vault toilets, drinking water, trash collection and a water-filling station at the entrance is provided, and the host sells firewood on-site. Fees are collected by cash, check, or Scan & Pay with the Recreation.gov app: standard sites are $29 per night, glamping runs $110 per night (deposit required), day use is $15, and extra vehicles are $10 each. Reservations and changes are handled through Recreation.gov (you can also call 1-877-444-6777); note the $10 service fee for cancellations or changes and the standard late-cancellation and no-show policies that may forfeit the first night's fee or assess additional penalties. For campground-specific questions call (385) 273-1100. The lake itself is limited to non-motorized craft, making it a quiet place for rainbow trout fishing, canoeing and kayaking, and many visitors paddle directly from the campground. A network of trails and routes radiates from the Mirror Lake corridor: the Crystal Lake and Bald Mountain Trails begin nearby, and several trailheads along the byway provide access into the High Uintas Wilderness for backpacking, horseback riding and day hikes. Mirror Lake Campground is a short drive away and often runs weekend interpretive programs and additional fishing and paddling opportunities. Summer days here commonly climb into the mid-60s to mid-70s with nights dropping into the 40s to 50s, so plan layers for alpine weather; wildflowers dot the understory in season and wildlife viewing is a regular part of the experience. The broader Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest in this corridor supports auto touring, biking, boating, OHV use on designated routes, picnicking and swimming among its many recreation choices.
