Cobblerest Campground sits at about 8,500 feet along the Mirror Lake Scenic Byway in the Uinta Mountains, roughly 19 miles east of Kamas on State Route 150. The campground occupies a stretch of forested riverbank where pine, fir and aspen shade campsites and willow thickets edge the Lower Provo River, which runs alongside the loop and is a local spot for trout fishing. The site is paved and small TOTAL CAMPSITES: 18 offering 18 single sites that are configured to serve both RVs and tents; each site includes a picnic table and a fire ring, and vault restroom facilities are available on site. Individual sites are sized for up to 8 people plus 1 vehicle; the standard overnight fee is $27.00 per site, day use is $15.00, and extra vehicles are $10.00 each. Payment can be made by cash, check, or Scan & Pay. The campground is a convenient base for the range of activities in Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest: fishing on the Lower Provo River, hiking, biking and horseback riding on nearby trails such as North Fork and Shingle Creek, off-road vehicle routes in the vicinity, and scenic driving along the Mirror Lake Byway. Cobblerest participates in the Recreation.gov reservation system and follows the standard cancellation and change policies: a $10 service fee is withheld on cancellations, and late cancellations (the day before or day of arrival) incur the $10 service fee and forfeiture of the first night's use fee; no-shows are assessed a $20 service fee plus forfeiture of the first night. A $10 change fee applies if you switch dates entirely outside your original reservation; there is no change fee for extensions or shortenings that include original dates, and site-to-site switches at the same price are allowed without fee. Interagency pass discounts apply only to the recreation fee for individual campsites (Senior/Golden Age, Senior/Golden Lifetime, Access/Golden Access passes listed), the pass holder must occupy the site, and discounts do not apply to group sites, cabins, hookups, or reservation fees. Refund requests can be made through your Recreation.gov profile within seven days after the reservation ends (card refunds go back to the original payment card; cash/check refunds are issued by Treasury check), and emergency closures result in full fee refunds.
