Willows Campground sits at about 5,300 feet along the South Fork of the Ogden River, a single loop of campsites threaded through stands of cottonwood and willows. The site character is intimate a heavy middlestory gives a sense of separation between sites and a few campsites back right up to the riverbank, where you can hear the current at night. The campground contains 16 sites, each able to accommodate both RVs and tents; roads and spurs are gravel, and each site has a cement table pad and a metal fire ring. Vault restrooms are provided on site; there are no mentions of hookups or potable water, so plan accordingly. Fee options include single-site reservations at $29 (capacity 8) and double-site reservations at $58 (capacity 16); walk-in visitors are $8 per person, day-use is $15, and extra vehicle fees are $10. You can pay by cash or check or use the Recreation.gov Scan & Pay app. Outdoor opportunities are compact and river-focused: anglers and swimmers find easy access to the South Fork, and tubing is popular here (a life jacket is required for all tubers). Causey Reservoir, a small mountain lake with additional boating and fishing, lies roughly two miles east. Willows is reached from Ogden by following Highway 39 through Ogden Canyon toward Monte Cristo; it's one campground in a string of sites along that corridor. Reservations and cancellations follow Recreation.gov policy: a $10 service fee is withheld from refunds, and changing dates outside your original booking incurs a $10 change fee; late cancellations (the day before or the day of arrival) will be assessed a $10 fee and forfeit the first night's use fee for individual campsites. No-shows are assessed a $20 service fee plus forfeiture of the first night; interagency pass discounts (Senior, Access/Golden Age/Golden Access passes) apply only to eligible individual campsite recreation fees and require the pass holder to occupy the site. Refund requests can be submitted via your Recreation.gov profile within seven days of reservation end, and emergency closures are refunded in full.
