Indian Creek Campground sits at about 8,000 feet in Upper Joe's Valley on the Wasatch Plateau, surrounded by peaks and a patchwork of aspens, pines and sagebrush. The site contains 7 total campsites, each a large, group-sized spot that is configured to accommodate both RVs and tents; individual sites are commonly used for groups, with capacities reported in the range of roughly 30 to 70 people. Vault toilets and a piped drinking-water source are available on site, but there is no electricity or garbage pickup, and the internal roads and spurs are dirt. Access is by way of Cottonwood Creek Road off State Route 29 northwest of Orangeville the Cottonwood Creek approach is a well-maintained dirt and gravel road that provides relatively easy passage for cars and RVs, though driving on unpaved surfaces is required to reach the campground. The campground is a convenient jumping-off point for trail-based recreation: local trails are used by hikers, horseback riders and mountain bikers, and the nearby Arapeen OHV Trail System gives riders access to more than 350 miles of designated, maintained routes suitable for a range of skill levels. Potters Pond, a short distance away, provides opportunities for canoeing and rainbow trout fishing, while the broader Manti-La Sal National Forest supports additional activities such as wildlife viewing, hunting and winter sports. Specifics on fees, reservations and seasonal availability are not provided here, so plan to check current conditions and any permit requirements with Manti-La Sal National Forest before you go.
