About

Beaver View Campground sits at 8,960 feet along the Mirror Lake Scenic Byway about 34 miles south of Evanston, Wyoming, and occupies a riverside spot beside the Hayden Fork River where several small beaver ponds cluster among a thin stand of pine and aspen. The loop holds 17 individual campsites that accommodate both RVs and tents (each site rated for up to 8 people and one vehicle) and one group day-use picnic site (capacity 30). Every campsite includes a picnic table and a campfire ring, and vault toilets are available on site; there is limited shade here, and summer wildflowers and grasses brighten the open understory. The byway itself threads through the Uinta Mountains and puts you within easy reach of High Uinta Wilderness trailheads, numerous high-alpine lakes and streams, and river fishing local recreation commonly includes fishing, hiking and backpacking, ATV and off-highway vehicle trail riding, horseback riding and biking. Practical details: single sites are $27.00 per night, the group picnic site is $93.00, day-use is $15.00, extra vehicles are $10.00 each, and trailhead overnight parking is $5.00 per vehicle; payment is accepted by cash, check, or Scan & Pay with the recreation.gov app. Reservations and refunds are handled through Recreation.gov a $10 service fee is withheld from refunds for cancellations, and late cancellations (the day before or on arrival) incur the $10 service fee plus forfeiture of the first night's use fee; no-shows are assessed a $20 service fee and forfeiture of the first night. You may pay change fees of $10 when switching reservation dates entirely outside the original booking, while extensions or shortenings that include original dates usually carry no change fee; some restrictions apply to reservations beyond the maximum booking window. Eligible Interagency Pass discounts apply only to individual campsite recreation fees (Senior Annual, Senior Lifetime, Access, Golden Age and Golden Access passes) and the pass holder must occupy the site. For facility-specific questions or to check current availability and seasonal conditions, call (385) 273-1100 or consult Recreation.gov.
