“We love this campground. It is clean and well kept. There are many little places to walk around and ride bikes. This is a place my family camps at each year. The camp hosts this year were exceptionally nice! We truly loved our stay!”
“Amazing campground! Really just lovely- most sites are pretty private and the pines and mountains are fabulous.”

Yellowpine Campground sits along Rock Creek on the southern slope of the Uinta Mountains at about 7,200 feet, a cool, shady spot among towering Ponderosa pines with pockets of aspen and summer wildflowers. The campground contains 17 campsites in total all 17 are equipped to accommodate both tents and RVs arranged as a mix of single, double and group sites; each site has a picnic table, metal campfire ring and grill. Practical amenities include accessible flush toilets, drinking water and an on-site dump station, and within the campground a paved interpretive nature trail provides an accessible loop that connects to the beginning of the Rock Creek Trail. Rock Creek runs alongside the campsites, so evenings are marked by the sound of water and consistently cooler temperatures than the valley below. Recreation here centers on the creek and the trails that climb into the High Uintas Wilderness: Rock Creek is regularly fished for brown, brook and rainbow trout, and seasonal stretches offer opportunities for whitewater rafting and kayaking. The Rock Creek Trail begins nearby and links hikers, backpackers and horseback riders to miles of high-country routes; Upper Stillwater Reservoir and the Lower Stillwater Ponds are close enough for day trips (Lower Stillwater offers swimming, picnicking and trout fishing; Upper Stillwater currently is accessible only by hiking in). More broadly, Ashley National Forest supports biking, boating, interpretive programs, OHV riding, wildlife viewing and other outdoor pursuits. Yellowpine is reached from the Duchesne/Highway 40 corridor via Highway 87 and the Mountain Home/Rock Creek road network (roughly a 30 35 mile drive from Duchesne on a mix of pavement and forest roads); check with Ashley National Forest for current fees, reservation rules, seasonal openings and any road or access advisories before you go.
