“Beautiful campground with spacious sites. Gave 4 stars due to water only available via one hand pump in the middle of the campground away from the road, so trying to add water to an RV tank is very challenging. ”
“Relaxing location with close proximity to Dee Wright Observatory and Sisters. A good stop over to venturing further into Central Oregon. ”

Cold Springs Campground sits under a stand of mature ponderosa pines with pockets of aspen in the wetter hollows, and a small, pleasant spring runs right through the middle of the loop road. The facility is compact 22 campsites in total and each site is set up for both tents and RVs with a picnic table and a fire ring at every campsite. Water is available on-site via a hand pump, and there are three vault-style toilets; because water is hand-pumped, plan to bring extra drinking water or a reliable treatment method. The loop road is short and quiet, which makes bicycling through the campground a popular, low-traffic pastime for families and a good way to get around with gear. Outdoor opportunities concentrate on nearby trails and the surrounding forest: hiking and mountain biking routes radiate out from the campground, and the mix of open pine and wetter aspen stands creates good conditions for bird and nature watching. The town of Sisters is only a few miles away on Highway 242 (McKenzie Pass Highway) to the east, offering groceries, restaurants, and other services, while the Sisters Wilderness trail network is within easy reach for longer day hikes. Reservations are handled through Recreation.gov; check the site for current fees and seasonal openings, and note that once your reservation start date has begun neither the Recreation.gov Contact Center nor the campground manager can modify that reservation.
