Verbatim from guest reviews on Recreation.gov ↗ (45 reviews, ★ 4.0). Not written or edited by us.
“Lots of trees fallen, or cut down, leaving several of the sites (like 33) with no shade at all. Not good on a hot, full overhead, sunny day. Other than that the campground was clean, as were the restrooms and the "host" visited almost daily from tye Rock Creek campground.”

Quinn River Campground sits along the western shore of Crane Prairie Reservoir just off the Cascade Lakes Highway about 50 miles southwest of Bend, offering direct water access and a shoreline campground experience. The site contains 40 campsites, and all 40 are configured to accommodate both tents and RVs, spread out along the reservoir so many sites have easy walks to the water. The campground includes a boat ramp and fish-cleaning stations; note that boat launch parking is for day use only and requires a recreation fee separate from camping fees. If you make a reservation, be sure of your dates: once your reservation start date has begun, neither the Recreation.gov Contact Center nor the campground manager will be able to modify your reservation. Recreation centers on Crane Prairie Reservoir boating and fishing are the main draws, with the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife managing populations of rainbow trout, mountain whitefish, brook trout and largemouth bass while shorebird and raptor watching are excellent from camp. Sandhill cranes, bald eagles and osprey are commonly seen around the reservoir; the adjacent forest supports species such as black-backed woodpecker, Williamson's sapsucker and mountain chickadee, and on summer mornings or evenings you may spot Rocky Mountain elk grazing in the lakeside meadows (deer, beaver, squirrel and the occasional black bear also inhabit the area). Nearby Osprey Point offers an interpretive look at nesting platforms, and the Cascade Lakes Scenic Byway a 66-mile route through the Cascade Range provides easy auto-touring access to alpine lakes, trails and other recreation opportunities in Deschutes National Forest, including hiking, biking, horseback riding, OHV routes and winter sports.
