“We had such a great time. The hosts were awesome. The only "negative" thing about the camp site is that there are a lot or rocks on the ground. I used a 10 person tent and was unable to drive in several stakes into the ground. We had to use rope around the trees nearby.”
“The campground was great! The camp hosts were friendly and awesome! ”

Mogollon Campground sits on a sandy spur off Forest Road 300, about five miles from Highway 260 and only a couple of miles from the edge of the Mogollon Rim; the lower campsites open onto stands of ponderosa pine and the terrain around the campground is sandy and gravelly underfoot. Woods Canyon Lake lies a short drive away (roughly two to three miles via Road 105) and is where you'll find fishing, boating, and a small marina store that stocks basic groceries and rents boats and kayaks. The campground is inside Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest, so beyond the immediate shoreline activities at Woods Canyon Lake you'll have access to the forest's broad options hiking and mountain biking, horseback riding and horse camping, OHV routes, wildlife viewing, picnicking, and even access to backcountry fire lookout cabins while the rim views and ponderosa canopy define the site's character. There are 13 campsites in total; each site is configured to serve both tents and RVs (the official breakdown lists all 13 as both RV and tent sites), and the pull-outs are approximately 40 feet long to accommodate pop-ups, trailers, and motorhomes as well as tent campers. Every campsite includes a campfire ring, a grill and a picnic table, and the campground provides accessible vault toilets, drinking water and trash service; a camp host is also on site during the season. The approach road and the campground surface are sandy, so expect light loose surfaces when arriving; for up-to-date information on fees, reservations, seasonal openings and any access advisories, call the facility at (928) 535-0181 before you go.
