“Nice quiet campground. Camp host is very nice as well. The bathrooms would be my only complaint.”
“The area is BEAUTIFUL the spot is a good one but we had zero neighbors Also ZERO cell service which is just fine. There is little to NO camp hosting going on…”
“The park attendant was very helpful. Check in was easy and didn’t have any problems. Clean campground and restrooms were clean. This was our first time camping here but this trip turned into a yearly trip. ”

Blue Ridge Campground sits on the north end of Dierks Lake where the Saline River's flooded timber creates a distinct fishing environment; the 1,360-acre reservoir is particularly productive for bass and crappie, and two boat ramps at Blue Ridge put you directly into some of the area's best angling waters. The campground itself provides 20 sites that accommodate both RVs and tents, along with two restroom buildings and a single shower facility for overnight guests. Within the broader project you'll find opportunities for canoeing, kayaking, swimming and general water sports, plus hiking, picnicking and a playground and because Blue Ridge is inside the Howard County Wildlife Management Area, spring and fall are peak seasons when both fishing and hunting draw locals and visitors alike. Nearly 600 acres of public hunting land in the upper reaches of the project support white-tailed deer, bobwhite quail, mourning dove, squirrels, cottontail rabbits and a variety of waterfowl, so expect active wildlife viewing as well as seasonal hunting activity. Practical access and local services are straightforward: Blue Ridge is on the north shore of Dierks Lake at 466 Blue Ridge Road, a short drive off Highway 278 north of Dierks (follow Highway 70 east toward Kirby and then north on 278 for roughly six miles to the Blue Ridge Road turnoff). The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers manages the project; nearby businesses supply food, bait and tackle, and overnight lodging options are available in the area if you need them. Popular day trips from the campground include Crater of Diamonds State Park in Murfreesboro (about 30 miles) and Hot Springs National Park (roughly an hour away), and gaming and additional services around Broken Bow/Choctaw Nation are also within about an hour's drive. Fees, reservation policies and seasonal road or facility closures can change, so check the Corps of Engineers' Dierks Lake page or contact the project office before you go to confirm current rates and campsite booking procedures.
