“Nice quiet and peaceful campground. Good bass fishing. Would like to see a legal slot size for bass to keep under 14 inches. Will be back. Mosquitoes were bad. Cell phone service very poor.”
“Beautiful and quiet campsite. We were very impressed when an DNR employee came to let us know bad weather was coming. Everything very clean. We loved it.”

Morgan Lake Campground sits amid tall pines around a clear, 45-acre lake at about 1,500 feet elevation, where a small sandy swim beach and a boat ramp give easy access to the water. The lake is known for largemouth bass and is open to paddling and non-motorized boats; gas motors are not allowed and only electric motors are permitted. The site is compact: there are nine campsites in total, eight designated for RV use and one that accommodates both RVs and tents, and the campground also includes a separate large-group site that can hold up to 25 people, four vehicles and one RV or trailer. The group area is set apart from the family loop for privacy and comes with multiple picnic tables, a campfire circle and grills. Parking surfaces throughout the campground are gravel, there are no utility hookups, and you'll find accessible pit toilets, drinking water, and trash and recycling stations on site. Recreation at Morgan Lake is straightforward and family-friendly: swimming off the beach, launching a kayak or electric-motor boat from the landing, and fishing right from shore or a small craft. ATV use is permitted within the campground but riders must follow state regulations and campground rules; beyond the lake, the larger Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest offers extensive opportunities for hiking, biking, hunting, horseback riding, OHV and snowmobile trails, auto touring and wildlife viewing across more than 1.5 million acres. Some family campsites in the main loop (sites 3, 6, 9, 12, 14, 16, 17 and 18) may be reserved individually, and the group site is available for larger gatherings fees, seasonal openings and reservation windows change, so check the U.S. Forest Service camping page before you go. The campground is in Fence Township, Florence County, a rural drive from services in Long Lake (about a 12-mile drive northwest), and note that this Morgan Lake site is distinct from Morgan County Park in Niagara.
