“Perfect place for our large family reunion! So close to fishing, swimming, walking trails and the baseball field. We had no mosquitoes and perfect weather for the 4 days we stayed. Can't wait for next year! Same time same place!”
“Was very relaxing, love the room in the site. ”

On the northern arm of Lake Roosevelt, Kettle Falls Locust Grove Group Site occupies two roomy group pads shaded by locust trees and sitting just above the lake where the old Kettle Falls now lie submerged beneath the reservoir. Lake Roosevelt is the 130-mile impoundment on the Columbia created by Grand Coulee Dam, fed by glacier and snowmelt from the Canadian Rockies and warming in summer; the shoreline here is cut into ancient scoured basalt carved by Ice Age floods. The group area looks out over open water and is a short walk or drive about a quarter mile to the main Kettle Falls Campground and its multi-lane boat launch, which makes boating and fishing especially easy; anglers will find walleye, bass, rainbow trout, salmon and seasonal sturgeon opens in the broader recreation area. There is a former swimming beach at the group site, but swimming conditions are not ideal, so plan water activities around boating and fishing. Wildlife sightings are common watch for moose, elk, deer and bald eagles and the cultural landscape is rich: American Indian sites, fur-trade era history, and the submerged falls are all part of the story visitors can explore at the nearby visitor center in Kettle Falls. This facility offers two reservable group sites (TOTAL CAMPSITES: 2; SITE TYPE BREAKDOWN: 1 Both RV Sites & Tent Sites, 1 Tent Sites) intended for organized groups of boaters, anglers and water-sports users; the sites are open for reservations March through November and are managed through recreation.gov. Fees are tiered by group size: $55/night for 1 25 people, $80/night for 26 50 people, and $105/night for 51 75 people. The location is unstaffed, so all changes and cancellations must go through recreation.gov; group overnight reservations canceled less than 14 days before arrival incur a $10 service fee and forfeiture of the first night's use fee. The campground sits roughly 87 miles north of Spokane and just south of the town of Kettle Falls, with grocery stores, the park visitor center (less than 10 miles away), and historic St. Paul's Mission about two miles from the site other local points of interest include Fort Colville, the Hudson's Bay Company post on the Upper Columbia, and the Sherman Pass Loop scenic drive.
