Francis G ★ 2 · Aug 2025Great location, well maintained.
Linda W ★ 5 · Aug 2025This is a beautiful campground tucked in a dense forest. Most of the spots have room, so we didn't feel like we were right on top of our neighbors. The bathrooms are portables, but they were clean. It is a short walk to the lake with opportunities to hike around the lake or up into the hills. We also hiked from the campground on another gorgeous trek.
Doug O ★ 3 · Aug 2025The campground is nice and spacious overall. However we were disappointed in upkeep. Much “ground cover” in campsites could be easily cleared out for better, more spacious parking. Also there are uneven concrete surfaces at some sites that need attention. A definite trip hazard. Finally, it was very disappointing to not have the restrooms in working order. Of note to Recreation.gov : the map on your site is grossly incorrect in respect to site locations and parking spurs. We were misled as to the parking at the site we selected. Please address.

Tony Grove Campground sits at about 8,100 feet on the slope above Tony Grove Lake, roughly 19 miles east of Logan and accessed from State Route 89 near the Garden City/Bear Lake corridor. The site has 36 campsites in total: 32 sites that accommodate both RVs and tents and four tent-only sites. Each campsite includes a picnic table and a metal fire ring, and a few of the sites offer partial views of the lake. Roads and parking spurs are gravel; restrooms are a mix of vault and flush facilities and some sites are partially accessible. The campground is intentionally primitive in character but gives direct access to the lake (less than half a mile away) where you can fish or paddle, and to a self-guided nature trail that circles the water. Multiple trailheads from the Tony Grove day-use area lead into the Mount Naomi Wilderness most notably the White Pine Lake Trail (about 4.5 miles one way) so hiking, wildlife viewing and wildflower photography are major draws here, especially when meadows erupt with geraniums, paintbrush, columbine, lupine, daisies and mountain sunflowers from mid-July through mid-August. Practical details to plan around: campsite fees are charged per site (single sites $27; there is also a larger double site for $54), extra vehicles are $10 per day, day-use parking is $15, and a season day-use pass covering Tony Grove and several nearby recreation areas is $60. Payment accepted at the site includes cash, check, or Scan & Pay via the Recreation.gov app; for facility-specific questions call (385) 273-1100. Reservations and changes go through Recreation.gov (1-877-444-6777); a $10 service fee applies to most changes or cancellations, late cancellations can forfeit the first night's fee, and no-shows may be assessed additional penalties refund requests must be made within 14 days of departure. Because this is a high-elevation campground, expect cooler nights and a shorter season than lower-elevation areas; the immediate setting emphasizes backcountry access and quiet lake-side recreation, while Bear Lake about 25 miles away offers larger-scale boating, swimming and marina services if you want to combine alpine trails and wildflower meadows with more developed water recreation.
