George H ★ 5 · Sep 2020The host was very kind and helpful, and went out of his way to attend to our needs. The campground was clean and in good shape. As a primitive campground, we highly recommend it.
Wesley S ★ 5 · Jul 2020Great trails for riding the Razor. Big shaded campsites.

Yellow Pine Campground sits at about 7,200 feet along the Mirror Lake Scenic Byway in the Uinta Mountains, roughly 6.8 miles east of Kamas on State Route 150. The campground is threaded by Yellow Pine Creek and shaded by stands of pine and aspen that flare with color in autumn; sagebrush and summer wildflowers dot the more open stretches. From your site you're a short walk from trailheads for the Yellow Pine, North Fork and Shingle Creek Trails, and the Lower Provo River runs below the campground across the highway, offering trout fishing close by. The area around the byway also supports mountain biking, horseback riding, off-road vehicle routes and other Uinta-Wasatch-Cache activities such as wildlife viewing, auto touring and boating on nearby lakes, so the campground makes a good base for both short day outings and longer explorations. The campground contains 32 sites that accept both RVs and tents; each site has a picnic table and a fire ring, and vault toilets are located throughout the loop. Sites are listed with a per-night recreation fee of $22 and are sized for up to eight people plus one vehicle; additional vehicles are $10 each, and day-use parking is $15. Reservations and payments can be handled with cash, check or the Recreation.gov app Scan & Pay; standard Recreation.gov rules apply (a $10 service fee is withheld from most refunds, late cancellations the day before or day of arrival incur a $10 fee and forfeit the first night's use fee, no-shows are assessed a $20 fee and forfeit the first night, and customers may request refunds through their Recreation.gov profile). Interagency pass discounts apply only to the recreation fee for individual campsites (Senior/Golden Age, Senior Lifetime/Golden Access, and Access/Disabled passes) and the pass holder must occupy the site. If you plan to change dates, note there can be a $10 change fee for switching to dates entirely outside the original reservation window, while extensions or shortenings that include original dates typically incur no change fee.
