Pine Valley North Wasatch Cach Group Campground sits along the Mirror Lake Scenic Byway in the Uinta Mountains of northeastern Utah at about 7,400 feet, shaded by stands of pine and aspen that put on strong fall color. The site is set up specifically for groups: there are three group sites in total, each configured to accommodate both RVs and tents with large paved parking areas, picnic and serving tables, grills, campfire circles, vault toilets and trash collection. Because these are group facilities the reservations and fees are different from single sites Group A holds up to 120 people for $282, Group B up to 60 people for $218, and Group C up to 140 people for $372; extra vehicles are charged $10 each. Payments are accepted by cash, check, or Scan & Pay through the recreation.gov app, and you can call the facility for specifics at (385) 273-1100. The campground is a convenient base for the recreational variety of the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest: the nearby Lower Provo River is known for trout fishing, while hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding and off-road vehicle trails (including North Fork and Shingle Creek Trails) are within easy reach; the Mirror Lake Scenic Byway itself provides access to high alpine lakes, streams and trailheads into the High Uintas Wilderness.
