About

Little Lyman Lake Campground sits at about 9,200 feet on the shore of a five-acre pond in the Uinta Range, roughly 35 miles south of Mountain View, Wyoming along State Route 140 and a sequence of county and forest roads. The site is small and rustic: ten primitive single campsites that accommodate both tents and RVs, each equipped with a picnic table and a metal fire ring, plus vault toilets nearby. Most sites offer lake views and pleasant shade, and each single site holds up to eight people and one vehicle. Fees are modest $18 per night for a single campsite, $10 for day use, and $10 for each extra vehicle and reservations are handled through Recreation.gov. Because this is a basic facility with limited services, plan on bringing your own water and supplies and expect a quiet, wildlife-rich setting rather than hookups or on-site staff. The campground provides direct access to hiking and fishing around the lake and nearby backpacking, ATV and equestrian trails; the greater Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest adds opportunities for boating, biking, auto touring, interpretive programs, swimming and wildlife viewing. Reservation rules are straightforward but important to note: cancelling before arrival will incur a $10 service fee deducted from refunds, and late cancellations (the day before or day of arrival) are charged a $10 service fee and forfeit the first night's fee; no-shows incur a $20 service fee plus forfeiture of the first night. A $10 fee applies when changing reservation dates that fall entirely outside your original booking, while many other adjustments (shortening or extending within the original dates, or swapping same-priced sites) are allowed without a change charge. Interagency pass discounts are accepted for individual campsites only (Senior Annual, Senior Lifetime, Access, Golden Age and Golden Access passes) and apply to the recreation fee only; refunds and other billing matters are processed through Recreation.gov per their posted policies.
