“We were very happy with broken arrow camp ground. There is hiking, biking, swimming and kayaking available. Camp ground and bathrooms were very clean. The hosts were very knowledgeable about the area. We will definitely be staying there again.”
“Close to Crater Lake and several others. Diamond Lake Resort almost always has some kind of public activity as well.”

Broken Arrow Campground sits in a lodgepole pine stand at the south end of Diamond Lake, with clear sightlines to Mount Bailey and Mount Thielsen that frame the water-focused recreation here. The lake is the hub: anglers cast for rainbow trout from shore or boat, swimmers and kayakers find easy access via several nearby boat ramps, and picnicking along the forested shoreline is a simple afternoon plan. Cyclists can follow the paved, 11-mile loop around Diamond Lake, while a network of day-hiking trails radiates from the campground and the Pacific Crest Trail is accessible nearby for longer outings. Equestrian riders will find trails within about five miles, and interpretive programs are offered on Saturday evenings at the adjacent Diamond Lake Campground. A small resort close to the lake provides practical services boat, bike and horse rentals, a restaurant and basic groceries and Crater Lake National Park is a popular day or overnight destination for visitors based here. The campground is large and structured to handle a mix of solo campers, families and groups: there are 216 total sites that accommodate both RVs and tents, arranged across an extensive set of loops Broken Arrow Group (82 sites), Loop A (10), Loop B (8), Loop C (13), Loop D (13), Loop E (15), Loop F (17), Loop G (15), Loop I (13) and Loop J (12). Sites come with picnic tables, campfire rings, grills, drinking water and flush toilets, and campground hosts are on site to help with questions. Standard sites and the group area are available by reservation only; note there is an extra vehicle fee of $5 per vehicle per night that must be paid at the campground fee kiosk upon arrival. The campground's location inside the 984,602-acre Umpqua National Forest places it within a landscape of high mountain lakes, waterfalls (including nearby Watson Falls), designated wilderness areas and diverse wildlife habitat all useful context for planning longer exploration beyond the shoreline. Access to Diamond Lake and Broken Arrow is typically made from the Roseburg Diamond Lake corridor (OR-138 east) or from the Medford/Klamath Falls corridors (OR-62/OR-230 or US-97).
