“Great experience close to crater lake. Spent the day at the park and relaxed in our quiet campground afterword's. ”
“The campground was clean, restrooms clean. There isn't a lot of privacy if you are tent camping. There were a lot of noisy groups while we were there, though they did quiet down at quiet hours. ”

East Lemolo Campground sits on the shore of Lemolo Lake at about 4,150 feet elevation, where a forested shoreline meets a mountainous backdrop and the reservoir forms the highest impoundment on the North Umpqua River. TOTAL CAMPSITES: 15. SITE TYPE BREAKDOWN: 15 Both RV Sites & Tent Sites each of the 15 standard sites is equipped with a picnic table and a campfire ring with a grill. All sites are available by reservation only; the campground has a vault toilet but no drinking water, so plan to bring your own supply. If you arrive with more than one vehicle, note the extra vehicle fee of $5 per vehicle per night this MUST BE PAID AT THE CAMPGROUND FEE KIOSK UPON ARRIVAL. The campground sits at the end of a forest spur road reached from OR-138 about 72 miles east of Roseburg, making it a quiet base for lake-focused camping rather than a quick roadside stop. The lake defines the experience here: boating, fishing, swimming, kayaking, canoeing and water skiing are the primary draws, and Lemolo Lake reaches depths of roughly 100 feet in places. Anglers will find German brown trout, Eastern brook trout, rainbow trout and kokanee salmon in the water; swimmers should expect cold, refreshing temperatures. For hikers, the steep Lemolo Falls Trail drops into North Umpqua Canyon for a view of the 150-foot Lemolo Falls, with a spur trail that reaches the canyon bottom. Within ten miles you can access additional hiking, mountain biking and OHV trails, and the broader Umpqua National Forest offers long scenic drives along the Rogue-Umpqua National Scenic Byway and a wide range of outdoor pursuits from auto touring and climbing to horseback riding and wildlife viewing set against landscapes shaped by dramatic geologic events and threaded with rivers and waterfalls.
