Verbatim from guest reviews on Recreation.gov ↗ (5 reviews, ★ 3.0). Not written or edited by us.
“Vault toilets ran out of TP on Friday. Was still empty when I left on Sunday. Same issue at East lemolo campground.”
“The site was nice but there were too many mosquitoes at all times. ”
“The campsite was good. Limited access to the lake was a disappointment. I realize it was 4th of July weekend, but people were camped in spots not designated for camping. They were for fishing or day use. We will be back.”

Inlet Campground sits at about 4,150 feet on the shore of Lemolo Lake where lodgepole pine, mountain hemlock and Shasta red fir meet the water's edge. The lake is the highest reservoir on the North Umpqua River and reaches depths of roughly 100 feet in places, so the shoreline drops quickly into cold, clear water that supports sporty populations of German brown trout, eastern brook trout, rainbow trout and kokanee salmon. Water-based recreation defines the immediate area: boating, kayaking, canoeing, water skiing and shoreline swimming are all within easy reach of the campsites, and anglers can launch from the beach or a boat. For hikers who want a different perspective, the Lemolo Falls Trail descends steeply into North Umpqua Canyon for views of the 150-foot cascade and a short spur leads to the canyon bottom; farther afield, the Rogue Umpqua National Scenic Byway offers 172 miles of changing river and mountain scenery if you want to drive and explore the surrounding landscape. Wildlife in the forested hills includes raptors and other riparian species eagles, owls, salamanders and salmon are among the animals that rely on the park's clean streams and varied habitats. The campground itself is small and straightforward: there are 13 total campsites, and all 13 accommodate both RVs and tents. Sites come with a picnic table, campfire ring and grill, and vault toilets are provided, but there is no drinking water on site and trash service is limited, so visitors should plan to pack out garbage and bring their own potable water. All sites are reservation only, and if you bring more than one vehicle expect an additional charge $5 extra vehicle per day MUST BE PAID AT THE CAMPGROUND FEE KIOSK UPON ARRIVAL. Access is primarily by forest roads east of Roseburg on OR-138 toward the Diamond Lake/Lemolo Lake area, then a short drive on numbered Forest Roads to reach the lakeshore; the elevation and lake setting mean summers are pleasant for water sports while shoulder seasons can be markedly cooler. The campground's modest footprint and water access make it a practical base for paddling, fishing, swimming and exploring the North Umpqua corridor, as well as a stop on longer trips that include biking, OHV riding, horseback trails or visits to nearby lookouts and climbing areas.
