“The campsite was clean and quiet and great access to the river. We loved it!”
“Great spot in the Campsite. Only issue was think the campsite has quite am incline due to water movements I am assuming as it is at a lower level. ”

Boulder Flat Campground sits along the upper reaches of the Wild and Scenic North Umpqua River, a compact nine-site facility where the river is the dominant feature of the day. All nine sites accommodate both RVs and tents, and all but one have direct river access; roads and parking spurs inside the campground are paved, and day-use parking includes extra-long spurs to handle boat trailers plus short-term unloading/loading spaces at the boat ramp. The campground provides a concrete raft launch and a changing-room building (two fairly large stalls, built in 2011) that see a steady stream of whitewater rafters in spring and summer rafters frequent the put-in year-round. Practical amenities are straightforward: two accessible vault toilets positioned at either end of the loop, picnic tables and fire rings at each site, and reservation-only camping (reservations must be made at least two days in advance). Note the extra fees you'll encounter on arrival: $5.00 per additional vehicle per day (must be paid at the campground fee kiosk upon arrival) and $10.00 per night for additional camping units. The setting is also a launch point for a wide range of outdoor pursuits. The 79-mile North Umpqua Trail has multiple nearby trailheads for long-distance pack trips or short hikes and mountain-bike outings, and the river itself offers fishing and swimming holes between the rapids. Within a short drive you can reach Twin Lakes for wildlife viewing and picnics, and popular Toketee Falls and Toketee Lake lie about seven miles east on OR-138; the Rogue-Umpqua National Scenic Byway threads through the same landscape for memorable auto touring. Beyond the immediate campground, Umpqua National Forest supports climbing, horseback riding, OHV routes, picnic areas, overnight fire lookout/cabin options and more a diverse playground of volcanic geology, waterfalls and forested corridors that attract a range of outdoor users. From Roseburg the campground is reached by driving east on OR-138 for roughly 53 miles, so plan ahead during busy seasons since nine sites fill quickly and reservations are required.
