“People were on our spot, even though we had it booked for 3 weeks. Very poor experience.”
“Campground is basic but location is amazing. Waterfall hikes, hot springs, beautiful rivers!”

Toketee Lake Campground sits where the North Umpqua Wild and Scenic River widens into a calm lake, framed by willows, maples and alders and crossed by a footbridge that provides steady views of the river and lake. Wildlife is part of the daily scene: beavers and river otters tinker along the shore, great blue herons and kingfishers fish the shallows, and in fall and winter you can often spot ducks, geese and bald eagles. Anglers come here for German brown trout; current lake levels are 2 3 feet below the boat ramp, so bring a small non-powered craft rather than a deep-draft boat. The Toketee group site sits beside a trailhead for the North Umpqua Trail, making the campground a convenient base for day hikes, multi-day rides, or horseback outings on one of Oregon's most popular mountain-biking corridors. TOTAL CAMPSITES: 32 all 32 Both RV Sites & Tent Sites and sites are generally level with space for both tents and RVs. Toketee is a dry campground with vault toilets only, so plan to bring your own water and supplies; the campground is close to the group site if you need extra room. Sites are available by reservation only and reservations must be made at least two days in advance. If you bring more than one vehicle, there is a $5 extra vehicle fee per night that MUST BE PAID AT THE CAMPGROUND FEE KIOSK UPON ARRIVAL. Access is reached east of Roseburg on OR-138 toward Diamond Lake, then up Forest Road 34 to the campground entrance. Two notable waterfalls Watson Falls (272 feet, short trail to the base) and the two-tiered Toketee Falls with its basalt column lookout less than half a mile from the viewing platform are within a five-minute drive, and the broader Umpqua National Forest offers auto touring, biking, horseback riding, climbing, picnicking, swimming and other outdoor options if you want to expand your itinerary.
