“Clean restrooms with flushable toilets. The biggest drawback to the campsite is the sheer abundance of poison ivy only a few feet from some campsites. ”
“If you look up and close your ears you're in heaven. WHY have a major highway 15' from a campsite? Bring your earplugs and enjoy nature at it's best.”

Bogus Creek Campground sits in a mature stand of Douglas fir, cedar and mixed deciduous trees, with flowering shrubs and native understory that give the sites a shady, forested feel. The campground contains 14 sites in total; all 14 are configured to accommodate both RVs and tents, and paved roads and spurs make maneuvering trailers easier than at many forest camps. Each campsite comes with a picnic table and a metal fire ring, and some sites include a barbecue grill; potable water, accessible flush toilets with hand-washing sinks, and trash receptacles are available on site. A campground host is present during peak season, and all sites may be reserved in advance while any unreserved sites are offered on a first-come, first-serve basis. Practical fees to note: an additional vehicle is $5.00 per day (payable only at the campground) and an additional camping unit is $15.00 per night. The campground's defining feature is its immediate relationship to the Wild & Scenic North Umpqua River river access is within a short walk, and a public raft launch sits directly across the highway making Bogus Creek a convenient base for fly fishing, whitewater rafting and river-focused wildlife watching; the North Umpqua is well known locally for salmon and steelhead runs and for regular bald eagle sightings. Trails are close at hand: the Riverview Trail departs from within the campground for easy riverside walks, and the longer North Umpqua Trail (79 miles) is reachable from nearby Wright Creek or Mott trailheads for day hikes or multi-day outings; mountain biking and commercial rafting opportunities are within roughly 10 miles. The site also lies along the Rogue-Umpqua National Scenic Byway about 35 miles east of Roseburg on OR-138, a route that opens up auto-touring, climbing, horseback riding, OHV access, swimming at local river spots, and other Umpqua National Forest activities.
