“My favorite campground. I especially enjoy the hosts, Rich and Cam. ”
“The camp is well run and quite clean. Beware of falling dead limbs from overhead trees in some sites. ”

Paradise Campground sits along a bend of the McKenzie River at about 1,600 feet, shaded by tall Douglas fir and western red cedar while ferns and mosses carpet the forest floor. The site layout mixes riverfront spaces with more secluded forested spots, and the campground contains 59 campsites all 59 Both RV Sites & Tent Sites so groups can choose sites that suit tents or recreational vehicles; paved parking spurs make maneuvering easier, and flush toilets are scattered through the loop. A boat ramp on the property puts the river within easy reach for anglers and paddlers, and an amphitheater hosts educational programs during the season. The campground is reached via McKenzie Highway (Highway 126), roughly 55 miles east of Eugene and a few miles east of McKenzie Bridge; for fees, reservations, seasonal openings and current rules (including fire restrictions and generator or pet policies), confirm details with the Willamette National Forest or recreation.gov before you go. The river is the main draw here: catch-and-release trout and winter steelhead fishing are common, and experienced rafters and kayakers run whitewater on the McKenzie the onsite boat ramp makes launching straightforward. Hikers and mountain bikers will find the McKenzie River National Recreation Trail nearby for day outings, and swimming, wildlife viewing and picnicking are easy to combine with a camp setup by the water. Beyond the campground, Willamette National Forest offers broader recreation opportunities including biking, horse camping, OHV routes, winter sports and even overnight stays in some fire lookouts or cabins, and a golf course sits about seven miles toward McKenzie Bridge/Eugene from the site. Because the campground occupies a moist, heavily shaded riverside environment, bring appropriate footwear and insect protection, stow gear securely near the water, and verify campsite amenities (such as hookups or potable water) in advance since those specifics are managed by the forest service.
