“We were very disappointed to learn that the campground restrooms were closed and we were not told this. It was hard on those with oxygen dependency or walking issues to have to load up & drive over to the other side of the park for restrooms. ”
“The bathroom in the B section was closed and we were not told about this ahead of time, requiring us to get in a vehicle to go to the bathroom. Another camper contacted the Corp regarding this and they didn't seem concerned about it. ”

Theodosia Park sits on the south shore of Bull Shoals Lake in the Ozark Mountains, roughly 36 miles north of Mountain Home along state highways, where hardwood ridges and cedar glades give way to steep rocky bluffs and unusual rock formations at the lake's edge. Bull Shoals Lake itself stretches about 80 miles and is fed by the White River, so water is the dominant feature here: the campground's easy-access shoreline and on-site boat ramp put you on the water quickly for fishing, water skiing, jet skiing and general boating. Birdwatchers and wildlife viewers will find pockets of good habitat nearby bring binoculars for the Boston Ferry Conservation Area and the area draws crowds in autumn for the local Flaming Fall Revue when maples and oaks put on a vivid display. Marinas around the lake supply rental boats, tackle and guides for hire, so you can plan half-day excursions or multi-hour fishing trips even if you don't haul a boat yourself. At the campsite level, Theodosia Park is a compact, practical place to stay: there are 20 total campsites, each configured to accommodate both RVs and tents, and most sites (along with the group shelter) offer electrical hookups for basic RV needs. Facilities include a marina and a public boat ramp for quick launching, flush toilets, a designated swimming area and a small playground for kids, plus picnic spots for daytime breaks. Because the park is popular year-round and the campground is small, it's wise to make reservations in advance; cancellations made up to two days before a reservation start date incur a $10.00 fee. For site-specific details, availability or questions about hookups and group-shelter use, call the park at (870) 425-2700.
