Highway 125 Park sits on the Arkansas shore of Bull Shoals Lake where the hard-rock bluffs and cedar glades of the Ozark foothills drop into the water. From spring green to the "Flaming Fall Revue" of autumn leaves, the lake's shoreline changes with the seasons, and a concrete dam completed in 1951 created the broad reservoir that now stretches across the northern edge of Arkansas into southern Missouri. The campground is also the Arkansas departure point for the Peel Ferry the state's last free ferry a year-round service that links Highway 125 to Missouri and can cut about a 50-mile drive around the lake. Follow State Route 14 northwest from Yellville and then north on SR-125, and you'll find the park signs leading into the small marina and swimming area framing this section of the lake. The campground itself has 38 sites in total: 37 sites that accept both RVs and tents and one tent-only site, all equipped with electric hookups; drinking water and shower facilities are available on site. A designated swimming area and marina provide direct access to boating and the wide range of water sports the lake is known for, and park marinas carry boat rentals, supplies and can arrange guides for hire. On land you'll find a playground next to a reservable group picnic shelter for up to 50 people, plus trails and shoreline that support hiking, birding, biking and wildlife viewing; the nearby Bull Shoals-White River State Park offers the Big Bluff and Lakeside trails if you want a longer hike. Practical note: the park operates year-round, and if you need to cancel a reservation, cancellations made up to two days before the reservation start date incur a $10 cancellation fee.
