Beaver Creek Campground sits on the lower shores of Bull Shoals Lake in south-central Missouri, where green hardwoods and cedar glades give way to rocky bluffs and the unusual rock formations of the Ozark Mountains. The campground offers 34 campsites in total: 33 sites that accommodate both RVs and tents and provide electrical hookups and access to hot showers, plus one tent-only site for those who prefer a more basic pitch. A compact group shelter and a playground are on-site for family gatherings and children, and a marina adjacent to the campground stocks supplies, rents boats and can arrange guides for fishing or lake excursions. Seasons change the character here spring and fall are prime for fishing (spotted bass and crappie are local targets), summer is full of boating and other water sports, and autumn brings vivid foliage that local guides sometimes call the "Flaming Fall Revue." Outdoor opportunities radiate outward from the campground: short trails and wooded shoreline invite casual hiking, birding and wildlife viewing, while the lake itself is the hub for boating, water sports and other recreation concessions. In-season hunting is possible in nearby management areas, and Jones Point State Wildlife Management Area is a short drive for more focused wildlife spotting. The lively town of Branson is about a 30-minute drive if you need restaurants, shopping or live entertainment. Access to Beaver Creek is most direct from the Mountain Home, Arkansas area by following State Route 5 north and connecting through US 160 toward Kissee Mills and State Route O; once signs for Bull Shoals Lake appear the park is clearly marked. If you make a reservation, note the park's cancellation policy: cancellations up to 2 days before a reservation start date incur a $10.00 cancellation fee.
