“Well even tho we had to experience a horrible thunderstorm we still had fun.”
“Lead Hill is one of my favorite campgrounds. It unfortunately was flooded most of the summer because of heavy rains earlier in the year, so we only camped there once this year. It is a very beautiful campground.”
“This is a beautiful park on the lake, however as a result of the recent high water levels, a significant portion of the park is not open. We love this park and try to camp there every year at least once. ”

Lead Hill Campground sits on the Arkansas shore of Bull Shoals Lake in the lower Ozark Mountains, roughly 4 miles north of Lead Hill along State Route 7. The setting alternates between hardwood ridges and cedar glades that tumble down to rocky bluffs and unusual stone outcrops, and seasonal changes are striking summer brings dense green canopy and exposed limestone, while the lake's fall colors are widely admired. The campground contains 61 campsites that can accommodate both RVs and tents; most of these sites include a canopy over the picnic table for afternoon shade and every site is equipped with electric hookups. Two group campsites are available for larger gatherings, and family-friendly amenities include a playground, a designated swim area and an on-site marina at the water's edge. Two named loops in the campground are ALOO with 20 sites and ELOO with 16 sites, with the remainder of sites arranged in adjacent loops along the shoreline. Bull Shoals Lake itself stretches to nearly 1,000 miles of shoreline, and Lead Hill is geared toward water-focused recreation: the marina supplies rentals, boat supplies and guides for hire, making motorboating, water sports and scuba diving easy to plan. Anglers are especially active here year-round tournaments regularly draw bass fishermen pursuing fish often weighing up to 12 pounds while birdwatchers, hikers and wildlife viewers find miles of undeveloped coves and shore to explore. The Army Corps of Engineers manages many nearby park areas with additional swim spots and 11 marinas scattered around the lake, offering more access to picnicking, trails and interpretive/environmental education opportunities. The campground is used in every season; if you make a reservation note the cancellation policy cancellations made up to two days before your arrival incur a $10 fee.
