Christina V ★ 4 · Jan 2020The hot springs has very limited hours; closed on Mondays, and its also best to go right upon opening and leave in the afternoon. Then go back around closing. The campground is right on the Harriman Trail; fun for off road bicycles and a trail run! The campground is within the Dark Sky Preserve, relax and enjoy the dramatic night sky.
Ann A ★ 5 · Jan 2020We like Easley Campground. There are no hookups but it works for us.

Easley Campground sits alongside the Big Wood River at about 6,800 feet, roughly 14 miles north of Ketchum accessed from Highway 75 and Forest Road 160. The campground is small there are 10 total campsites, each configured to accommodate both RVs and tents and most sites are laid out as family campsites with gravel parking spurs and sweeping views of the Boulder Mountains to the east. Shade is provided by a mixed forest of Douglas fir, ponderosa and lodgepole pine and aspen, while willows fringe the riverbanks and summer wildflowers color the understory. Basic amenities include vault toilets and a drinking-water source; there is no electricity. Roads and spurs are gravel, so larger rigs should plan accordingly. Temperatures at this elevation are moderate by day (average summer high about 78°F) and can cool substantially at night (average low around 40°F). Outdoor opportunities begin at the water's edge: anglers come for rainbow, brown and brook trout and many visitors enjoy float tubing on the Big Wood River. The 20-mile Harriman Trail runs through the campground and provides easy access for hiking and biking, with numerous side trails leading to deep canyons, alpine lakes, swimming holes and more high-country fishing. Easley Hot Springs is less than a quarter-mile past the campground entrance and offers a swimming pool, hot tubs, showers and a small store for a modest fee. The Sawtooth National Recreation Area Visitor Center is about 6.5 miles away and provides a small museum, bookstore, area information and a dump station with drinking water; Sun Valley Resort is roughly 11 miles from the site and expands options for guided horseback rides, trail networks and other services. Because the site is small and facilities are basic, check with the Sawtooth National Recreation Area or local ranger district for up-to-date information on fees, reservations, seasonal availability and road conditions before you go.
