“Clean campground that looked well maintained. 10 minute walk to the lake. Even though not next to creek, it also meant beautiful views of surrounding mountains. ”
“Beautiful clean campground and bathrooms. We enjoyed every minute of our trip and will be back. Camp Host was extremely helpful. ”

Crags Campground sits at about 7,000 feet on the east side of the Sierra, roughly 10 miles south of Bridgeport via Highway 395 and Twin Lakes Road, with the Twin Lakes basin and its resort just across the road. The site contains 22 total campsites, all configured to accommodate both RVs and tents, plus several single- and double-family sites (a number of which are accessible). Roads and parking spurs are paved, and common facilities include flush toilets, drinking water, trash collection and a host selling firewood. For larger gatherings there is one group site that holds up to 45 people and comes equipped with picnic and serving tables, grills, food-storage lockers, a campfire circle and ample parking. Outdoor opportunities are immediate: Robinson Creek runs through the campground and is a good spot for rainbow trout fishing directly from the site, while numerous trails, including the Robinson Creek Trail, begin nearby. Upper and Lower Twin Lakes are within walking distance for boating, canoeing and angling for kokanee salmon, rainbow and brown trout, and the Hoover Wilderness trailheads are reached from the Twin Lakes area for longer hikes or horseback trips. On summer weekends from July 4 through Labor Day, educational programs are presented at nearby Robinson Creek South Campground. The wider Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest around the headquarters supports biking, climbing, hunting, wildlife viewing, winter sports and off-highway vehicle use, so plan your itinerary and check with the Forest Service or the local ranger district for current access conditions, reservation rules and any seasonal fees.
