“Amazing campground. Wish we would have spent all our time at the campsite. Going into the city was chaotic, but we felt compelled to go into Seattle since we were close. The city life is highly overrated.”
“Great Sites and clean bathrooms. The camp host was super friendly and helpful. Traffic noise from I-90 was noticeable but not too bad. ”
“Denny Creek is a beautiful campground. Lots of great hiking, river exploration, and some beautiful drives close by. ”

Denny Creek Campground sits along the south fork of the Snoqualmie River, with a scattering of sites under a tall conifer canopy and a few positioned near the banks of Lodge Creek where the water tumbles toward the river. On clear days the skyline includes Mt. Baker to the north, and the campground is hemmed by designated wilderness areas that give access to rugged peaks, alpine lakes and stands of older trees. A short walk from camp is the Asahel Curtis Nature Trail, an easy route that crosses Humpback Creek several times and climbs into a grove of mature Douglas-fir, western hemlock and western red cedar; mosses, ferns, orchids and a wide variety of wildflowers carpet the forest floor. Wildlife is part of the experience here keep an eye out for mountain goats on higher ridges, coyotes and pine marten in the trees, and a variety of migratory birds and native fish in the streams. The campground provides 33 campsites that accommodate both tents and RVs, with picnic tables at each site, flush toilets, drinking water, and electrical hookups at a handful of sites; a reservable group site is also available. Sites can be reserved in advance (details and any fees are handled through Recreation.gov), and note the booking policy: once your reservation start date has begun, neither the Recreation.gov Contact Center nor the campground manager can modify that reservation. Denny Creek is a straightforward drive from the Seattle area follow I-90 east to exit 47, head north over the freeway and follow signs for about three miles and serves as a year-round access point to activities in the Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest. Summer and early fall bring hiking, fishing, horseback riding and picnicking nearby; winter opens up opportunities for cross-country skiing and snowshoeing. For facility-specific questions call the ranger number at (360) 386-8214; beyond the campground the forest offers a wider range of recreation from auto touring, biking and boating to interpretive programs, OHV routes, fire lookout stays and wildlife viewing.
