Derek C ★ 5 · Sep 2023Really great campground! Overall, the campground was kept very clean, the camp host was pretty awesome to deal with, and the seclusion of this campground from passers by is really nice. Great place for a group of friends to get some peace and quiet, or be loud without bothering other campers.
Holly K ★ 4 · Aug 2021Trash dumpsters hadn't been emptied in some time and were very smelly. Campsites are great. Plan to rent again

Miller River Group Camp sits on the grassy banks of the Miller River inside Mt. Baker Snoqualmie National Forest, framed by mixed conifer stands that give the feel of a sheltered riverside clearing with easy walking access to the water. The campground's footprint is small: there is one reservable campsite on record that is configured to accept both RVs and tents, and it comes with the basic amenities you need for an overnight stay a picnic table, a metal campfire ring, potable drinking water, and vault toilets. Because the site is reservable, make arrangements ahead of time; note that once your reservation start date has begun, neither the Recreation.gov contact center nor the campground manager can modify the reservation. For up-to-date, site-specific information call the Snoqualmie Ranger District at (360) 386-8214. Access is via U.S. Highway 2, turning off near the Money Creek Campground area roughly 48 miles east of I-5 (exit 194), then a short drive south to the Miller River access roads. The campground's setting is a convenient gateway to a wide range of Cascade activities. In summer and early fall anglers and day hikers use the river corridor and local trailheads, while winter brings opportunities for backcountry skiing and snowshoeing in the surrounding terrain. The forest management unit contains about 1,500 miles of trails that range from easy forest walks to strenuous alpine routes; nearby Dorothy Lake Trail is a good example, beginning with shaded forest for about 1.5 miles to the lake outlet, following the eastern shore, and then climbing steeply into the Snoqualmie Ranger District. If you're planning extended travel into designated Wilderness such as Alpine Lakes Wilderness, which totals 362,789 acres with 117,862 acres in the Mt. Baker Snoqualmie National Forest remember that permits are required for both day use and overnight backpacking. On clear days Mt. Baker's snowfields and glaciers dominate the skyline, and longer excursions to the Pacific Crest Trail, North Cascades, and Mount Rainier are all within reach for campers looking to expand a Miller River stay into a broader Cascade itinerary.
