“We had a great time at Sullivan lake. Very clean lake and campground. Well maintained and pretty quiet. Very relaxing...”
“Beautiful lake and camp grounds, the only negative is that so many people can’t read and allow there dogs to run free on the beach and no one enforces the no dog rules. ”

East Sullivan Campground sits at the north end of Sullivan Lake, about five miles east of Metaline Falls and roughly 95 miles north of Spokane. The lake itself covers 1,291 acres and plunges to 320 feet, with Hall Mountain rising steeply from the eastern shore to over 6,000 feet a dramatic backstop to the forested basin. Trails are one of the site's strengths: a short nature trail leaves directly from the camping loop, and the Lakeshore Trail, a 4.2-mile National Scenic Trail along the eastern shore, offers easy day-hikes with viewpoints and abundant wildflowers on the route up toward Hall Mountain. Water recreation dominates summer days here swimming at the shoreline, paddling in kayaks, canoes, and paddleboards, and powerboating from the campground's ramp and fishing for burbot and kokanee salmon is usually most productive from a boat. Forested campsites provide substantial shade and privacy, and wildlife sightings (elk, moose, white-tailed deer and black bears) and fall color from western larch and aspen are common features of the season. The campground contains 46 sites in total: 39 sites that accommodate both RVs and tents and 7 tent-only sites. Campsites themselves don't have direct lake views but are a short walk from the water and from day-use amenities that include picnic tables, a swimming area, a boat ramp, and the lakeside walking trail. A group campground near the boat ramp can host up to 40 people, and a small adjacent airstrip is used by some campers who fly in or arrive via chartered plane. Because specific fee, reservation and seasonal-opening information isn't provided here, plan to check the Colville National Forest website or contact the local ranger district for up-to-date details before you go; access is typically via State Highway 31 and Sullivan Lake Road/Forest Road 2200 from the Metaline Falls area, with the Salmo-Priest Wilderness and local attractions such as Crawford State Park and cave and hydroelectric tours within a short drive.
