“Nice clean Campground with friendly host.”
“We love this campground. But we wish Edgewater would stay open through the end of September. We have great weather for camping after Labor Day.”
“We love this campground! It’s quiet, the views of the river are outstanding. Its close proximity to Spokane makes it easy to get there. The camp hosts are always knowledgeable which helps for a pleasant experience. They make sure the grounds and restrooms are clean. ”

Edgewater Campground sits on a bluff above the east bank of the Pend Oreille River at about 2,000 feet, where stands of cedar, hemlock and Douglas fir slope down toward the water and the forest floor is threaded with thimbleberry and wild rose. The site's 19 campsites are all configured to serve both RVs and tents, and many of them open onto river views with the Selkirk Mountains rising in the distance. The campground draws people who like simple, water-focused recreation: there's a boat ramp on-site for launching kayaks, canoes or trailered boats, and anglers commonly fish for trout and bass from shore or by boat. Hikers will find access to nearby routes such as Terry Trail and Box Canyon, and wildlife-watchers often see moose and white-tailed deer the broader forested landscape is also habitat for the rare woodland caribou. Sweet Creek Falls and other local points of interest are a short drive away, and the campground is roughly 90 miles north of Spokane, just north of Ione along Box Canyon Road; watch for the Edgewater Campground sign near the Ione Bridge. Facilities at Edgewater are straightforward and practical: parking spurs are a mix of gravel and grass and are built to accommodate any size RV, there's an on-site campground host, and firewood is available for purchase. Basic services include vault toilets, drinking water and trash collection, but no hookups are listed, so plan for self-contained power and greywater needs if you're in an RV. With only 19 sites, the campground has a quiet, family-friendly feel; because conditions, fees and reservation options can change, check current information with the Colville National Forest office or the appropriate reservation website before heading out. The campground's position within the Colville National Forest a 1.1 million-acre landscape crossed by the Okanogan, Kettle River and Selkirk ranges makes it a good base for combining river recreation with short hikes and wildlife viewing.
