“I will be returning. This camp ground is absolutely beautiful. The camp host was very helpful if we needed anything. The trails to the lake were fun and so close. It was surprisingly very quiet here. ”
“Nice campground! The paved roads are great for keeping the dust down. Water stations are plentiful and near by.”
“weather was great, area clean and well maintained and all dogs we saw were on leashes. ”

Lake Gillette Campground sits on the east shore of Gillette Lake, where stands of lodgepole pine and tamarack shade most sites and a short hike leads down to the water. The campground is a practical base for anglers and boaters the lake itself supports boating, fishing and swimming and for land-based recreation there are plentiful trails for day hikes and bicycling, including direct access to Rufus Trail #148. An amphitheatre lies within walking distance via the trail network, making the area convenient for small group programs or a lakeside evening gathering. The setting feels compact and forested rather than wide open, making it well suited to families or small groups looking for easy water access and short trail options. Facilities are straightforward and designed for self-supported camping: the campground contains 14 campsites in total, and all 14 are designated for both RV and tent use, with paved interior roads and paved parking spurs that make drive-in access convenient. Vault toilets and drinking water are provided, and bear-proof garbage containers are on site. The campground description does not list fee, reservation, hookup, or seasonal-details, so check the Colville National Forest office or website for current fees, reservation policies, and seasonal availability before you go. From the town of Colville, the campground is reached by heading east on WA-20 for roughly 24 25 miles, then turning onto NF-200/Pendoreille Lake Road for a short distance into the site.
