“The campground was good but the timpanogos trailhead had extremely noisy young adults/teens that partied from midnight to three am. The party goers also tried to park illegally in the campground right next to our trailer. ”
“A perfect time to visit, excellent weather, no crowd. There was a little road noise and noise from people at the camp/resort area below. The bathrooms were closed but there were portapotties and running water. Can’t wait to camp here again!”

Perched at about 7,600 feet in a dense mix of aspen, maple and pine, Mt. Timpanogos Campground sits along the paved, 20-mile Alpine Loop Scenic Byway in the Wasatch Mountains, with the Mount Timpanogos Wilderness directly adjacent. The campground offers direct access to serious hiking the Aspen Grove Trail starts across the road and climbs to the summit of Mount Timpanogos as a roughly 14-mile round trip while the Alpine Loop itself provides a compact auto-tour through alpine canyons, mountain meadows and stands of aspen. Summer wildflowers and abundant wildlife draw nature-watchers, and autumn brings notable color; for other outdoor options you can reach Cascade Springs, Deer Creek and Tibble Fork reservoirs or the Timpanogos Cave National Monument within a short drive for boating, fishing and cave tours. The site inventory and amenities are straightforward and family-oriented: 27 total campsites (22 suited for both RVs and tents and 5 RV-only sites), all with picnic tables, campfire rings, paved parking spurs and access via paved campground roads, plus flush toilets. Standard single-site fees are $26 and each site accommodates up to eight people and one vehicle; day-use picnicking in a campground site is $10, and additional vehicles are $10 per vehicle per day. Reservations and changes are handled through Recreation.gov (transactions appear on statements as "Recreation.gov 877-444-6777"); there is a $10 service fee for changes or cancellations, late cancellations generally forfeit the first night's fee, and no-shows may be assessed up to a $20 service fee and forfeiture of use fees refund requests must be made within 14 days of departure.
