“Amazing campground! Beautiful in the fall. The only downside is we are so close to the road so you can hear traffic all day/night. ”
“A very nice campsite with a toilet right by it. A fire pit on-site is nice as well. The only downside is that the site is right by the main/only road in the canyon and cars pass by even in the middle of the night and could get a bit noisy. ”
“Always enjoy Little Mill. Always clean. ”

Little Mill Campground sits along American Fork Creek inside American Fork Canyon of the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest, offering a cool, shaded place to camp under stands of aspen, oak and maple. The campground has 26 sites in total: 11 sites set up for both RVs and tents, 5 RV-only sites, 8 tent-only sites and 2 glamping sites; an overnight group site is also available. Many of the family sites are accessible, vault toilets serve the loop, and payment is accepted by cash, check or Scan & Pay with the Recreation.gov app. Nightly fees range from $29 for a single site (capacity up to 8 people plus one vehicle) to $58 for double sites, $111 for glamping sites (deposit required), and $239 for the overnight group site (capacity 50); day use is $15 and extra vehicles are $10 per day. Reservations and changes are handled through Recreation.gov (phone 1-877-444-6777) or by calling the local facility at (385) 273-1100; note the standard $10 service fee for changes or cancellations, late-cancellation penalties that can include forfeiture of the first night's fee, potential $20 service fees for no-shows, and the 14-day window for refund requests. The creek that runs past the campsites is regularly stocked with rainbow trout, making Little Mill a popular stop for fly fishermen and anglers looking for easy access to water from the campground. The 20-mile paved Alpine Loop Scenic Byway runs through the canyon and past the campground, moving through high meadows, aspen groves and pine stands vehicles over 30 feet in length are not recommended on that route. For additional water recreation, Tibble Fork and Silver Flat Reservoirs nearby permit only non-motorized boating and offer canoeing, kayaking and trout fishing (Tibble Fork's south shore is frequented by scuba divers, and part of the north shore has accessible shoreline). Hikers and mountain bikers will find a network of trails in the area, including the 6-mile Tibble Fork Trail, 2-mile Pine Hollow Trail, 3-mile Mill Canyon Trail and the 15-mile Ridge Trail, and Timpanogos Cave National Monument is a short drive down the canyon for those willing to tackle the steep 1.5-mile hike to the guided cave tours.
