“We love booking the group site, perfect for when we want to camp and raft with a lot of friends. ”
“We had a great time at this site! The shade structure over the picnic tables was a life saver in the Moab sun. The area for tent camping was a bit rocky and overgrown with weeds. It wasn't a problem for us, but could be an issue for a group with more tent campers. ”
“Beautiful spot about 45 minutes away from Moab the facilities were clean. There are a lot of ants in the campground. We had a hard time keeping them out of everything. ”

Dewey Bridge Group Sites sit on the bank of the Colorado River along State Route 128, a river road that threads from Moab toward Arches and Canyonlands National Parks. The campground's three group sites (A, B and C) each accommodate up to 25 people and are laid out to handle both tents and RVs, so you can expect a mix of campsite styles and vehicle types along the riverside. The river is a real part of the setting here: there's a boat ramp at the campground and river trips on the Colorado (and downstream on the Dolores) commonly start or end at these sites. Beyond the campsite itself the landscape opens to canyon country of the Moab Field Office slickrock, mesas and spires just off the road, excellent four-wheel drive routes and mountain-bike singletrack nearby, and climbing and rafting outfitters in town. Nights are dark and good for stargazing, and desert wildlife is present year-round with fall offering particularly good chances to see bighorn sheep and other species. Practical details matter at Dewey Bridge. The three group sites each carry a flat fee of $125; there are no interagency pass discounts for group reservations. On-site amenities include picnic tables, fire rings, vault toilets and shade shelters, but there is no potable water, no dump station and no electrical hookups, and trailer/RV parking is limited (if you must bring multiple trailers or large RVs, the Lone Mesa group sites along SR-313 are the stated alternative). Reservations are handled through Recreation.gov and can be changed online prior to your arrival date; small change and cancellation fees apply ($10 service/change fee for most cancellations or certain changes, late cancellations within 14 days forfeit the first night plus the $10 fee, and no-shows incur a $20 Recreation.gov service fee and loss of the first night's fee). If you need help after your reservation begins or to open unused nights after an early departure, contact the BLM Moab Field Office at 435-259-2100. Spring and fall are the busiest seasons, so plan ahead, follow Leave No Trace and Tread Lightly principles, and consult the Moab Camping Guide or the Colorado River Moab Daily Camping Map for current onsite and area information.
