“Quite clean and plenty of distance between camps. Plenty of Areas to ride and hike.”
“This campsite was great for our party of 10. It was also right next to the bathroom and a short walk from the lake.”

Big Larch Campground sits on the east shore of Seeley Lake and offers a straightforward, shade-friendly lakeside experience under tall larch and pine at roughly 4,000 feet elevation. The site has a roped-off swimming beach, a boat ramp and dock with boat trailer parking, and a roomy day-use area that is open year-round from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Mountain Time; day use is free and requires no reservation. For overnight stays there are two individual campsites that accommodate both RVs and tents (first-come, first-served), plus two larger group campsites that are reservable for the main season; each group site includes three picnic tables, a campfire ring with a grill and a large paved parking area. Accessible vault toilets, drinking water and trash receptacles are distributed through the campground, and a campground host is on site 24 hours a day. Note the campground's sparse understory means sites have more open sight lines than thick privacy, and parking rules require vehicles to remain in the designated spur for each campsite vehicles that do not fit must pay a $5 additional-vehicle fee and park in the day-use area; roadside parking is not allowed. The lake and nearby waterways shape much of the recreation: swimming, water skiing, paddling and boating are common from the campground's ramp and dock, while anglers fish for kokanee salmon, bass, whitefish, pike, trout and perch. A short paddle north of Seeley Lake places you on the Clearwater Canoe Trail, a roughly 3.5-mile flat-water route good for spotting blue herons and river otters, and the Morrell Falls National Recreation Trail on the valley's east side provides a full-day hike through recent burns, dense forest and to a large waterfall. The town of Seeley Lake at the lake's southeastern tip supplies boat and kayak rentals, guide services, gas, groceries and dining; Glacier National Park is reachable as a long day trip and Missoula about an hour away provides hospitals, an airport and full urban services. Overnight fees during the staffed season (Friday before Memorial Day through Labor Day) are $20 per night for individual RV/tent sites and $50 per night for group sites, and individual sites are available only on a first-come, first-served basis while group sites are reservable during that period.
