Holland Lake Campground sits at about 4,050 feet on the west shore of a 416-acre lake in the Swan Valley of northwest Montana, roughly 7 miles south of Condon and 20 miles north of Seeley Lake off Highway 83. The site is surrounded by Tamarack, Ponderosa pine and Douglas fir; some campsites sit right at the water's edge while others are set a bit higher on the bank, which gives campers a mix of open-lake views and shadier sites. The campground has 40 campsites that accommodate both tents and RVs, plus a separate reservable group site (G1). Each individual site includes a picnic table and a campfire ring with grill; parking surfaces vary between gravel, dirt and grass. There are vault toilets, drinking water, a boat ramp and trailer parking on site, and a dump/fill station within a quarter-mile. There are no electrical or sewer hookups at the campsites, and stay limits are 16 consecutive days for regular sites and 10 days for the group site. Recreation centers on the lake and a short trail: the Holland Falls National Recreation Trail begins near the campground and climbs about 750 feet over 1.6 miles from the lakeshore to the base of Holland Falls. Holland Lake itself supports boating (including water skiing), fishing for trout and Kokanee salmon, and swimming from gravel beaches; paddleboards, kayaks and canoes are available for rent ($10/hour, $25/4 hours, $40/8 hours). A day-use picnic area with tables and grills sits near the water for quick access to the beach. Individual campsites are $20 per camping unit per night; group-site fees are tiered by group size (1 25 people $200/night, 26 50 $250/night, 51 75 $300/night, 76 100 $350/night). To reserve sites by phone call 1-877-444-6777; for facility-specific questions or same-day arrival cancellations contact Leona or the campground at (406) 210-8199 (please cancel at least four days before arrival; no-shows are not eligible for refunds). Beyond the immediate campground, the larger Flathead National Forest offers a wide range of activities biking, horseback riding, wildlife viewing and more if you want to make this a base for extended exploration.
