“Wood Pile is a great location. To me it was like camping in the woods.”
“Beautiful park, well kept sites, bathhouse was clean and maintained. Easy access from Interstate. Just an overnite stay but very enjoyable! ”
“My family loves Wallace Creek. We have small children and prefer to stay in the loop near the playground. The restrooms are always clean and the whole park is well maintained. ”

Wallace Creek Campground sits along the banks of Enid Lake in the Hills Region of northern Mississippi, about 56 miles south of Memphis and reachable from I-55 via exit 233 and a short drive east on County Road 36. The site is quiet and family-oriented, spread under mixed hardwoods that edge the lake's shoreline; the campground has TOTAL CAMPSITES: 101 SITE TYPE BREAKDOWN: 101 Both RV Sites & Tent Sites and offers modern comforts such as full hookups and flush toilets. A playground and an interpretive trail give kids and adults easy ways to stretch legs on site, and picnic areas with grills and tables plus a large group picnic shelter make the campground easy to use for family gatherings. Boat ramps are available right at the campground, and an accessible fishing pier below the dam provides a convenient spot for anglers who don't want to launch a boat. Recreation at Enid Lake is dominated by fishing and water sports: the lake is noted nationally for crappie, bass and catfish, hosts annual fishing tournaments, and even produced the world-record white crappie (5 lb, 3 oz). Beyond angling, trails along the lakeshore and through the surrounding woods support hiking, biking and horseback riding on an equestrian trail, while the lake's nearly 16,000 acres of water and roughly 44,000 acres of surrounding forest create plenty of space for wildlife viewing and day trips. Camping fees are increasing on 1-1-21 from $20.00 per night to $24.00 per night; for current reservation policies, seasonal availability and any other access requirements, check with the campground office or the managing authority before you go.
