Clear Creek Campground sits among bottomland hardwoods on the wooded shores of Sardis Lake, a man-made impoundment on the Tallahatchie River that covers roughly 98,000 acres at an elevation near 400 feet. The loop here is relatively small 20 sites in all with 18 sites configured for both RVs and tents and two set up for RVs only. Most sites offer electric and water hookups, and the campground provides flush toilets, hot showers and drinking water, so you can expect basic comfort without full-service RV resort trappings. The nightly fee is $20.00; because reservation rules and seasonal openings can change, plan to check with the park office before you go to confirm availability and any stay limits or reservation requirements. Recreational options radiate out from the campground: a nearby scenic trail gives good hiking and mountain-biking opportunities, and Sardis Lake itself is the focal point for boating, water sports (including water-skiing), fishing and swimming; picnicking and a playground are available elsewhere around the lake. John W. Kyle State Park sits across the water and adds a swimming pool, recreation hall, cabins and an 18-hole golf course, while Holly Springs National Forest to the east offers additional trails and wildlife-viewing. Clear Creek is also convenient to town roughly a 10 15 minute drive from Oxford; from Oxford you'll head north on Highway 314 for about 8 miles and follow signs to the campground.
