“Very Quit stay. Granddaughter loved it. And wants to go back. Play ground nice need a little repair on it. But for sure we will be back again next season. ”
“Spaces are relatively small, hostess is rude, grass is usually over a foot tall, more expensive than other sites where you have more peace and room to move about. ”
“It’s a quiet and secluded area with lots of shade trees, except for the spots along the water. ”

Farnum Creek sits on the shoreline of Milford Lake and is reached from I-70 (take exit 295 and drive north on Highway 77 for about 11 miles to the park entrance); from Topeka it's roughly a 65-mile drive west on I-70 with short northbound legs on US-77/K-57. The campground contains 51 sites that accommodate both RVs and tents, arranged in two short loops (A Loop has 46 sites, B Loop has 5). The site mix includes five pull-through RV pads one of which is designated accessible and more than half of the campsites offer electrical hookups. Practical comforts at Farnum Creek include hot showers, a playground and a boat ramp for launching; anglers will find a fish-cleaning station convenient after a day on the water. Site availability and fees change seasonally, and reservations and current rules are posted through the Corps of Engineers/Recreation.gov pages. Milford Lake itself sits at about 1,200 feet elevation and covers roughly 15,700 acres with some 163 miles of shoreline, giving Farnum Creek immediate access to boating, swimming and other water sports. The broader Milford Lake area supports a wide range of outdoor pursuits fishing, birding and wildlife viewing, hiking and biking trails, horseback riding, OHV riding and picnicking and nearly 70% of the land resources are open to public hunting. Just below the dam the Milford Education Center and Fish Hatchery provide environmental education opportunities and hatchery viewing, and there's a golf course beside the nature center for those looking for a non-water activity. For maps and a virtual tour of the lake and facilities, consult the Corps of Engineers site or the updated campground map available online.
