Peace Valley Campground sits about 27 miles north of Garden Valley in Boise National Forest at an elevation of 4,591 feet, on the slopes of high, forested mountains and steep valleys. The site lies close to an experimental forest and a fire lookout, and wildlife is commonly seen here deer and elk move through the valley while bald eagles and red-tailed hawks patrol the skies. Waterways near the campground include Peace Creek and nearby Silver Creek, both of which hold whitefish and rainbow trout and provide year-round angling in many seasons. About 2.5 miles away is Silver Creek Plunge, a privately run hot springs resort with a pool, a small general store and concessions, and outdoor play and courts useful for a soak after a day on nearby trails. This small, fully accessible campground is configured as a single group site (total campsites: 1) that serves both RV and tent campers and can accommodate up to 50 people; parking spurs will handle small to medium RVs up to about 30 feet. Facilities include picnic tables, grills, a small picnic shelter, campfire rings, vault toilets, and drinking water. Trails for hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, and OHV/motorcycle use are immediately available Peace Creek Trail and Bitter Creek Trail (motorcycle trails) start nearby, and the Rattlesnake Trail and the 465 ATV Trail are also in the vicinity while seasonal big-game hunting for deer, elk and bear is popular in the surrounding mountains. Because this is a single group site, plan ahead for access and capacity: fees, reservation requirements, and seasonal road conditions can change, so check current information with the Boise National Forest ranger district before you go.
