“Campground is ok. Recreation.gov is a pain, and sometimes doesn't work at all. ”
“Site was good. Mostly private, only really in view of sites across the road. Nearby to the bathroom. The women's side was good, the mens side was less than ideal. ”

Bridalveil Creek Campground sits high on Glacier Point Road at about 7,200 feet, roughly 9 miles up the road and 26 miles from Yosemite Valley, where the forest opens to views of granite domes and ridgelines through stands of red fir, lodgepole pine, vanilla-scented Jeffrey pine and scattered western juniper. The gentle Bridalveil Creek runs near the camping loops and the site plan is compact but varied: TOTAL CAMPSITES: 107, divided among Loop A (34 sites), Loop B (30 sites), Loop C (40 sites) and a small horse loop (3 sites). Site types accommodate a range of rigs and tents 76 sites are set up for both RVs and tents, 2 are RV-only, 26 are tent-only, and 3 are equestrian sites and each campsite includes a picnic table, a steel fire ring and a food-storage locker. Roads through the campground are paved and parking spurs are provided; facilities include flush toilets and drinking water. Group sites are noted in park materials but were not open for the 2021 season, and equestrian campers should make horse-camp reservations by calling the Wawona Campground office at 209-375-9535. Practical planning is as much a part of a stay here as the scenery: campsites in Yosemite move very quickly, so log in to your recreation.gov account before the 7:00 a.m. (PST) release time and be ready to add sites to your cart recreation.gov's call center cannot access extra sites beyond what's posted online. Reservations may be made on the day of arrival or up to five months in advance; new arrival dates are released in monthly blocks on the 15th (for example, the January 15 release covers arrivals from May 15 June 14). Cancellation terms are specific: individual or equestrian cancellations incur a $10 service fee and, if within 48 hours of arrival, the first night's fee; single-night bookings canceled within 48 hours receive no refund but are not charged an additional service fee. Group-site cancellations within 14 days carry a $10 service fee plus the first night's charge, and no-shows are assessed a $20 service fee plus the first night's fee. From Bridalveil Creek you're well positioned for a long list of Yosemite activities nearby hikes range from short walks to 13-mile routes (popular options include the 4-Mile Trail, Panorama Trail, Taft Point, Sentinel Dome and Ostrander Lake), and a scenic 7-mile drive brings you to Glacier Point for expansive views. Yosemite Valley, Tioga Road and Tuolumne Meadows, Hetch Hetchy, and the park's wide variety of auto touring, biking, climbing, fishing, horseback riding and paddling opportunities are all within reach for day trips from the campground. For park-wide information call (209) 372-0200 or visit nps.gov/yose.
