“We reserved campsite #1 @ Moraine Campground on Labor Day weekend September 2022 and we loved it. Although some visitors didn't respect the 10pm quiet rule, it was a lovely spot not far from the river and swimming areas. Thank you. We'll definitely be back. ”
“Es un lugar maravilloso en lo personal es uno de los campamentos que más nos a encantado los recomiendo ”

Moraine Campground sits in Cedar Grove along the south fork of the Kings River, where tall granite walls rise above stands of ponderosa pine and incense cedar. The campground contains 111 sites that are configured to serve both tents and RVs; paved roads throughout the loops make driving and parking easier for smaller RVs and cars. Each site includes a metal fire ring, a picnic table and a large bear-proof food storage box, and five comfort stations scattered through the campground provide flush toilets, drinking water and large sinks for dish-washing. The Cedar Grove Visitor Center is about three-quarters of a mile away and Cedar Grove Village where you'll find a convenience store, gift shop, snack bar, hotel, showers and laundry is close at hand. Note vehicle access guidance: vehicles over 22 feet are not advised on the Sequoia NP approach between Potwisha Campground and the Giant Forest Museum; vehicles over 22 feet should use the Kings Canyon National Park entrance. Moraine is an excellent base for riverside walks and longer valley hikes popular day outings from the campground include Mist Falls, Cedar Grove Overlook, the Kanawyer Loop along the Kings River and Zumwalt Meadow and Cedar Grove Pack Station runs scenic horseback trips into the canyon. Anglers fish for trout in the Kings River, wildlife viewing is a common pastime along the riverbanks and meadows, and park rangers typically offer campfire programs, wildlife presentations and guided hikes during most of the season. Park entrance fees apply (1 7 day vehicle pass $35; $20 per person on foot or bicycle; $30 per motorcycle) and camping is $32 per night (reduced to $16 per night for holders of a valid lifetime Access Pass, lifetime Senior Pass or annual Senior Pass). Reservations are charged in full at booking and a $10 service fee applies to changes or cancellations; cancellations made from midnight the day before arrival through the day after arrival are treated as late and incur a $10 fee plus forfeiture of the first night's use fee, single-night cancellations forfeit the entire use fee, and if a reserved site remains vacant 24 hours after the arrival date it will be cancelled, charged the first night's fee plus a $10 cancellation fee and released on recreation.gov. Recreation.gov policies govern refunds and changes if you expect to arrive more than 24 hours after your reservation, call the campground office at (559) 565-3792 to avoid automatic cancellation.
