“Beautiful place with 2 fire pits, toilet, and water available on site.”
“Awesome , super spacious campsite very nicely located not far from manzanita lake and a bit into the park such that you’re not so far from the major hits. ”
“The boundary between site 5,6 and 7 is poorly defined. Our site 6 had no level tent spots within the fallen trees. We pitched two tents between site 5 and site 6. The larger groups in site 5 also used that space resulting in tents being pitched in close proximity ”

Lost Creek Group Campground sits at about 5,700 feet on the main park road roughly five miles south of Manzanita Lake, placing you close to the Lost Creek and Devastated areas and within easy driving distance of the park's principal trails and attractions. The site is shaded by large ponderosa pines and framed by the same volcanic landscape that defines Lassen Volcanic National Park jagged domes, steam vents and mud pots are part of the wider neighborhood, and the park supports a surprising diversity of life (roughly 700 species of flowering plants and about 250 vertebrate species across the park). The Loomis Museum and its educational programs are a short drive away, while the Kohm Yah-mah-nee Visitor Center is about 45 minutes from the campground; the general store, showers and other visitor amenities are also nearby along the park road. This is a group campground with eight total group sites, and each site is set up to accommodate both tents and RVs; you'll find picnic tables, campfire rings, food storage lockers and parking at every site, plus potable water on site. There are no electrical or water hookups here, and the nearest dump station is at Manzanita Lake, so plan accordingly. Recreational access is immediate: hiking trails and auto touring routes are close at hand, Manzanita Lake is popular for fly fishing (the lake enforces catch-and-release with artificial lures and single barbless hooks) and non-motorized boating and kayak rentals are available nearby. For practical details such as current fees, reservations and seasonal access, check the National Park Service's Lassen campground information before you go.
