“Camp hosts were kind and helpful, bathrooms were immaculately clean. Beautiful area!”
“Bishop Creek Cayon is gorgeous in the Fall! This campground was great - clean and quiet. Bathrooms are cleaned twice a day by the lovely, hardworking hosts. They even returned my $1 in change for the fees! 😀”

Four Jeffrey sits at about 8,100 feet in a shaded valley between Grouse Mountain and Table Mountain along the South Fork of Bishop Creek, roughly a 15-mile drive west of Bishop on Highway 168 and then a short turn onto South Lake Road. The campground contains 106 total campsites: 102 sites set up to accommodate both RVs and tents and 4 tent-only sites, arranged as single-family spaces. Each site comes with a picnic table, a food storage locker and a campfire ring with grill, and the loop includes accessible flush toilets and drinking water. The creek runs close to the campsites, providing a cool place to wade or swim on warm days and steady views of Table Mountain from many sites. Fishing is a major draw here the South Fork Bishop Creek is stocked with rainbow, brown, brook and Alpers trout, and a fish-cleaning station is provided on site. Hikers and riders can access multiple trailheads into the John Muir Wilderness; the Tyee Lakes Trailhead is less than a mile up the road and leads to striking views of the Inconsolable Range and the peaks around South Lake, with connections toward the John Muir Trail and routes that access features such as Devils Postpile. Because the campground sits at high elevation and within Inyo National Forest, check current fees, reservation requirements and seasonal openings with the forest service before you go; the site's amenities and campground access can change with winter snow and road conditions.
