“Wonderful campground and amazing host!! Everything was clean and well-maintained. Despite being so close to town, the campsite was very quiet.”
“The grounds and camping area are well maintained and clean. The staff were helpful and knowledgeable about the area. The lake, however, isn’t much of a lake anymore. Turns out the dam broke a year ago and it may or may not be fixed. It is little more than a stinking slough now.”
“Beautiful location, the fire pit was awesome, the ramada was awesome, the cooking amenities and power were awesome. The only thing missing is flushing toilets!!! We loved our stay and would definitely stay again.”

Eagle Ridge Group Campground sits in a tall stand of ponderosa pine mixed with juniper and oak on the slopes of the Bradshaw Mountains beside Lynx Lake, roughly south of Prescott along Highway 69 and Walker Road. The site's elevation near 5,700 feet brings noticeably cooler summer evenings than the lower desert, which is why this lakeside recreation area is a popular escape from Phoenix heat. Lynx Lake itself is about 55 acres and has a quarter-mile shoreline loop trail that's family-friendly and suitable for hiking and mountain biking; anglers come for trout, bass, crappie, bluegill and catfish and can launch small boats at the boat ramp (motor boats are limited to under 10 horsepower). Swimming and wading are not permitted, but a concessionaire at the north end of the lake rents canoes, kayaks, paddle boats and electric row boats, and there's a small store on-site that sells firewood and operates a casual restaurant. The campground consists of two group sites in total Osprey and Peregrine each configured to accommodate both RVs and tents; Osprey is sized for groups of about 26 to 75 people while Peregrine fits roughly 15 to 25. Peregrine is reached through Osprey and a single reservation may include both sites if needed; both areas provide campfire rings and picnic tables and have accessible group facilities. An on-site host handles visitor information and gate duties, and the Bradshaw Ranger District can answer broader questions at 1 (928) 443-8000. Reservations are handled online through the site's availability link or by phone at 1 (877) 444-6777. Expect pleasant daytime temperatures during the main camping season but plan around the area's monsoon period (late June through mid-September), when afternoon thunderstorms are common; wildlife sightings can include osprey, deer, javelina, coyotes and the occasional mountain lion, so practice standard food storage and wildlife safety.
